Film News: Signing will boost Rotana’s activities in U.S. and Europe — Arab media titan Rotana Audiovisual has inked a deal with distrib The Orchard to handle its vast music portfolio worldwide.
Muslims Plan EidFest!: Event To Celebrate The End Of Ramadan With Islamic Music, Poetry and Art
“EidFest!” offers Muslims and friends of the Muslim community, a unique opportunity to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The event will consist of an evening of inspirational, live performances from some of the world’s most inspiring singers and performers in Islamic entertainment. Headliners will include Canadian born singer Dawud Wharnsby and the popular Maryland based hip hop group, Native Deen. Other artists scheduled to perform include poet, Brother Dash, the UK based singing group Shaam and the up and coming U.S. based singing group 786. Comedian Mohammed Amer will serve as host / MC for the event. Islamic artwork will also be on display in the theatres upper lobby for attendees to enjoy as well.
